Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect during my first visit?

You should arrive 15 minutes early to fill out a health history form and have a consultation with your therapist about the areas of concern.

Can I talk during my session?

Massage therapy is all about You! Sometimes talking can help you get comfortable, so if you wish to talk feel free to do so. Also communicating with your therapist is very important! If you need a change in pressure, temperature, or lighting you should let your therapist know.

Do I have to get completely undressed?

You should undress to your comfort level. If removing all your clothes makes you too nervous and unable to relax, then you are not getting the optimal benefit from the session. The therapist will work around the clothes you left on as best as she can.
Your massage therapist should give you privacy to undress and get comfortable on the table.

How often should I receive massage?

Frequency of sessions should be discussed with your massage therapist after your treatment when she has a better hands-on understanding of your particular muscular issues.

How long are the sessions?

A full body massage session is normally 60 minutes. 90 minutes sessions are also available if you have multiple areas of tension or pain to focus on.

Are there times that I shouldn't receive massage?

Massage Therapy is Great for the body, but there are a few situations where it may not be recommended. If you have a fever, cold/flu, or a contagious skin infection. Please wait until your symptoms have subsided or your doctor has cleared you to schedule an appointment.

Massage therapy is a healing art that we use to help the body and mind get to a healthier place. Massage therapy is not a sexual service. Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances will result in the immediate termination of your session, and as a client in this office.
